On December 15, the 4th "Belt and Road Initiative" China-Malaysia Business Dialogue was held in Shenzhen. The dialogue was organized by the China Economic Liaison Center and the Malaysian "Belt and Road Initiative" Committee, and organized by the Shenzhen Government Procurement Association. More than 200 outstanding entrepreneurs from China and Malaysia attended the meeting. At the meeting, Chinese and Malaysian entrepreneurs signed 12 cooperation agreements with a signing amount of 12.85 billion yuan.
 
The theme of this dialogue is "Silk Road Integration, Joining Hands for Win-Win: Consensus and Innovation of China-Malaysia Business Community", and there are three sub-themes of "China-Malaysia Innovation and Technology Cooperation Exchange", "China-Malaysia Cultural Tourism Exchange and Cooperation" and "Sharing the Future of the Government Procurement Market". There are also economic and trade cooperation links such as interactive negotiations between Chinese and Malaysian enterprises and on-site visits to enterprises.
 
12 Signing cooperation intentions or agreements with Chinese and Malaysian enterprises
 
Zhao Shitong, Assistant Minister of the External Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, said that in recent years, Shenzhen has continued to increase the reform of the business environment, and has made remarkable achievements in promoting high-quality economic and social development and promoting high-level opening up. It has been rated as the best reputation city for business environment for three consecutive years, and the development environment of small and medium-sized enterprises ranks first in the country. It is hoped that the guests will use the platform of this dialogue to carry out docking and negotiation activities to promote more projects.
At the meeting, UnionPay International signed cooperation intentions or agreements with 12 pairs of Chinese and Malaysian enterprises, including PayNet of Malaysia, Xingtang County Foreign Trade Corporation of Hebei Province, and the "Belt and Road Initiative" Committee of Malaysia. All parties participated in the "Belt and Road Initiative" cooperation actively, and the dialogue achieved good practical results.
 
Among them, Shenzhen Baohengtong Group signed a contract with Shenzhen Webcast Association and Malaysia BW & CNLIVE SDN. BHD Company to jointly build the "China-ASEAN" cross-border e-commerce cloud warehouse project (referred to as ASEAN warehouse). According to the tripartite agreement, ASEAN warehouse will take the lead in settling in Shenzhen Free Trade Zone.
 
The recent implementation of mutual visa exemption between China and Malaysia has heated cross-border travel to Malaysia, and cross-border transfer has become a topic of concern for tourists. According to the relevant person in charge of UnionPay International, about 95% of merchants in Malaysia currently support UnionPay cards at their POS end points. In October this year, PayNet, the national QR code payment standard operator in Malaysia, announced the official opening of all its over 1.80 million merchants to UnionPay. Tourists to Malaysia can now use the Cloud QuickPass App or scan the code of the domestic bank App connected to the "Cloud QuickPass Network Payment Platform" at the above-mentioned QR code merchants. This time, UnionPay International and PayNet also launched an exclusive discount for half a year. The two sides jointly announced the promotion at the conference and held a signing ceremony.

In the dialogue session on "China-Malaysia Innovation and Technology Cooperation Exchange", "China-Malaysia Cultural Tourism Exchange and Cooperation" and "Sharing the Future of the Government Procurement Market", people from the scientific and technological circles, entrepreneurs and representatives of relevant departments of China and Malaysia respectively offered suggestions on scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation, cultural tourism cooperation and other aspects, and carried out exchanges and discussions.
 
Among them, in the "Sharing the Future of the Government Procurement Market" session, the head of the relevant departments of the Ministry of Finance delivered a video speech. She said that China unswervingly adheres to the strategy of opening up to the outside world, is conducting negotiations on joining the World Trade Organization's Government Procurement Agreement, and actively promotes high-level opening up in the field of government procurement. Government procurement departments at all levels in Shenzhen have actively implemented the requirements of deepening the reform of the government procurement system, relying on the construction and development of information, digital and intelligent platforms such as "Internet + Government Procurement" to build an excellent business environment for government procurement in Shenzhen, and has achieved remarkable results, providing good market opportunities for high-quality enterprises in Shenzhen, the Greater Bay Area and even the whole country. It is hoped that Chinese and Malaysian enterprises will have in-depth exchanges, strengthen cooperation and jointly explore business opportunities through the platform provided by this conference.
